Azam e Kuhaan (A Woman of Courage)

This documentary short tells the story of Naveeda Akhtar, a beekeeper from rural Gilgit who learned modern agricultural techniques and went on to establish vocational centers and promote financial literacy for women in her community.

 

Resilience of Faith

In 1947, amidst the turmoil of Partition, one Sikh family in Pakistan faced a life-altering choice. The story of their descendant’s mission to save a historic holy site there intertwines with the history of Sikh religion and culture in Pakistan.

In an affluent Parisian suburb, Alain, Christine, Tiphaine, and Maddie form an ordinary family, close to their neighbors Valérie and her children. But their outward-facing life hides inner distress and a feeling of being trapped by social conventions.
